gurdwara (PunjabiਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾGuruduārā or ਗੁਰਦਵਾਰਾgurudwārā; meaning "door to the Guru") is a place of worship for Sikhs. People from all faiths, and those who do not profess any faith, are welcomed in Sikh gurdwaras. Each gurdwara has a Darbar Sahibwhere the current and everlasting guru of the Sikhs, the holy scripture Guru Granth Sahib, is placed on a takhat (an elevated throne) in a prominent central position. The Raagis (who sing Ragas) recite, sing and explain, the verses from the Guru Granth Sahib, in the presence of the holy congregation.

Sugarcane is one of the most widely cultivated crops all over the world. In Pakistan Sugarcane is highly preferred and most valuable crop which is used by many farmers due to its high and satisfactory returns. It is ranked at 4th position in sugarcane acreage and 14th position on account of its contribution to the sugar industry in the world. It is a crop of tropical and sub-tropical regions growing in a range of climatic conditions which may be hot or dry conditions and can also be grown in coolest places like hilly areas of Murree. Production of sugarcane has increased in the past few years with the 759 million hectares of land being cultivated by this crop. In Pakistan’s agriculture, this crop has a share of 3.4% with annual cane yield of 36 tons/ha and has 0.7% share in Pakistan’s GDP. Presently the sugar recovery that we are getting from this crop is 9.2% and the annual sugar yield obtained is 4.63 tons/ha.
Hand Milking-Centralized dairy farming as we understand it primarily developed around villages and cities, where residents were unable to have cows of their own due to a lack of grazing land. Near the town, farmers could make some extra money on the side by having additional animals and selling the milk in town. The dairy farmers would fill barrels with milk in the morning and bring it to market on a wagon. Until the late 19th century, the milking of the cow was done by hand.

Chulla Bhatti-There are many styles of cooking in Punjab. In the villages many people still employ the traditional infrastructure for cooking purposes. This includes wood-fired and masonry ovens. In the past many people employed wood-burning stoves. But this method is dying out. One derivation from this type of cooking is the tandoori style of cooking commonly known as tandoor. In India, tandoori cooking is traditionally associated with Punjab[5] as Punjabis embraced the tandoor on a regional level. This style of cooking became popular in the mainstream after the 1947 partition when Punjabis resettled in places such as Delhi. In rural Punjab, it is common to have communal tandoors, which are also called Kath tadoors

Hand pumps are manually operated pumps; they use human power and mechanical advantage to move fluids or air from one place to another. They are widely used in every country in the world for a variety of industrial, marine, irrigation and leisure activities. There are many different types of hand pump available, mainly operating on a piston, diaphragm or rotary vane principle with a check valve on the entry and exit ports to the chamber operating in opposing directions. Most hand pumps have plungers or reciprocating pistons, and are positive displacement.

Cultivation of Basmati Rice in Punjab

Basmati occupies a special status in rice cultivation. Its rice is known for excellent cooking and eating qualities. However, Basmati varieties occupy about 20% per cent rice area in the State. To obtain satisfactory yield of Basmati varieties the following package of practices are recommended for adoption :

Climatic Requirements : Like semi-dwarf rice varieties, Basmati varieties require prolonged sunshine, high humidity and assured water supply. Basmati varieties with superior cooking and eating characteristics can be produced if the crop matures in relatively cooler temperature. The high temperature during grain filling period reduces the cooking and eating quality features of basmati rice like kernel elongation and non-stickiness of cooked rice.

My Personal Experience  : My overall experience was excellent and rural tourism was very helpful to gain practical knowledge about the rural life ,agriculture etc and i wish in future i will again get an oppurtunity to visit any rural site because this is  one of the important part of our country till then "Be Happy Stay Blessed"
